The Shintani International Karate Federation offers Examiner training. An Examiner qualification can be awarded after being affiliated with the organization for 2 years. Once The required standards to obtain official qualification and the rights they afford are as follows:

• Level D: Those who have 3rd Dan with a Level D Examiner Qualification are qualified to give examinations up to a 1st Dan. 

• Level C: Those who have 4th Dan with a Level C Examiner Qualification are qualified to give examinations up to 3rd Dan. 

• Level B: Those who have 5th Dan with a Level B Examiner Qualification are qualified to give examinations up to 4th Dan. 

• Level A: Those who have 6th Dan and above with a Level A Examiner Qualification are qualified to give examinations up to 6th Dan. Examinations above 6th Dan are coordinated with the Shintani International Karate Federation President and Chief Instructor.

To receive an instructor qualification, the following requirements are required:

1. Must be a member in good standing with Shintani International Karate Federation.

2. Must grade and pass a Shintani International Karate Federation Dan Examination.

3. Must attend and pass the Instructor Qualification. Examiner Qualification may be awarded only to those who hold an Instructor Qualification in the same grade; that is A, B, C or D.

4. Permission must be given from an accredited Shintani International Karate Federation representative.

6. Examiners are required to conduct Shintani International Karate Federation examinations regularly using the Technical Standards document that each affiliate representative completes and submits to the Shintani International Karate Federation President and Chief Instructor.
